Overview
The selection process to join the armed forces is an arduous one and goes on for 5 to 6 days. Candidates need to be physically and mentally fit in all respects to get selected and therefore need to go through intensive training for the same.The capsule will provide the prospective and interested candidates an insight into the different processes involved in the selection. It will also bring out the various aspects of personality that need polishing up before you attend such an interview process.
The following will be covered:
- General aspects of the selection process which includes arrival and administrative formalities and requirements
- The Phase 1 testing.(weeding out process). The process and methodology of the test and how to clear it.
- The Psychological tests. What happens in these tests and what are the different sub-tests that one goes through.
- The Group Testing. This is a battery of 9 different tests that are conducted over two days and involves outdoor and group planning activities.
- The interview. A 45 minute one on one conversation which focuses on what the candidate has done so far in his life. Certain key aspects including do’s and don’ts shall be covered.
- The final board interview before the full panel of the selection board.
- The post-interview formalities.
- The Centralised Pilot Selection process for Air Force/flying aspirants.
